Experience wildlife viewing and conservation firsthand on this 2-day Ol Pejeta Conservancy safari from Nairobi. Travel north through Kenya’s central highlands to Laikipia County, where wildlife, livestock, conservation and community development coexist across the Ol Pejeta landscape.
Ol Pejeta is renowned for its rhino-conservation work and is home to Najin and Fatu, the world’s last two northern white rhinos. It is also the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the only place in Kenya where visitors can see chimpanzees.
After arriving from Nairobi, check in at your lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch before visiting the northern white rhino conservation area. Continue with an afternoon game drive in search of elephants, rhinos, lions, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife.
The following morning begins with another game drive before breakfast. Later, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary to learn about the care and rehabilitation of rescued chimpanzees. Optional conservation or cultural experiences may be added before returning to Nairobi, subject to availability and the confirmed departure schedule.
