6 Days Ethiopia Adventure Road Trip

Depart Nairobi very early in the morning for the long journey north towards Moyale. Travel along one of Kenya's most scenic routes, experiencing dramatic changes in landscape, vegetation and climate. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch en route before arriving in the Kenya-Ethiopia border region.

Leave Moyale and continue into southern Ethiopia towards the Omo Valley. Along the journey, experience a glimpse of the region's diverse communities and cultural landscapes. Continue to Arba Minch, whose name translates to "Forty Springs," and settle in for the evening.

After breakfast, visit Wondo Genet and enjoy its natural hot springs. Continue to Shashemene, home to Ethiopia's well-known Rastafari community, for lunch and a cultural interaction. Afterwards, travel to the lakeside city of Hawassa, explore the area and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Hawassa.

Leave Hawassa after breakfast and travel towards Addis Ababa. Pass Lake Langano and the crater lakes around Bishoftu. Stop for approximately two hours at Lake Langano, where optional activities may include horse riding, boating, mountain biking and kayaking. Continue to Addis Ababa, arriving in the evening.

Spend a full day discovering Ethiopia's energetic capital. Explore key city attractions and visit Mercato, the city's vast open-air market. The day provides an introduction to Addis Ababa's culture, commerce and urban life.

Enjoy breakfast and check out of your accommodation. Depending on your flight schedule, spend some free time exploring or relaxing in Addis Ababa before transferring for your outbound flight. This marks the end of the six-day Ethiopia adventure.
